The White Water Institute: Helping people learn and work together to address complex challenges, improving the world in which we live.
The Institute uses a river experience to apply lessons from a complex natural system to improve human systems. Using the fundamental principles of natural systems gives us another way of guiding and navigating change.
How does the river experience differ from other professional development events?
Your learning experience with the White Water Institute will be like no other personal or professional development opportunity you have ever had. It will:
- Engage you intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually;
- Challenge you to take new risks with the support of others;
- Reconnect you with life as experienced on a wild, natural river; and
- Use the fundamental principles of natural systems as another way of guiding and navigating change.
Our signature events are two- to four-day institutes for community, business, social service, non-profit sectors and educational leaders held in Maupin, Oregon – on, in and by the Deschutes River. Read more on our Summer Sessions page.
The White Water Institute is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
